Kigali Genocide memorial site (Est. Visit Time 1hr30min)
The Kigali Memorial exists as a permanent memorial to those who became victims to the genocide in 1994.
It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base.
Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide in 1994 and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.
Campaign Against Genocide Museum (Est. Visit Time 1hr30min)
H.E Paul Kagame opened this campaign against Genocide Museum officially on 13th December 2017.
CAG Museum is built in the Parliamentary building which was once known as Conseil.
National de Development because this building hosted the Rwandan, Patriotic Front
politicians and the 600 man protection force (3BN) from 28th December 1993. They
were in the preparations for the installation of a Broad-Based Transitional Government.
Together with the National Transitional Assembly and these 600 man protection force the (3BN)
were the ones given the order first.
The dates on 07/04/1994 by the RPA Chairman of High Command Major General Paul Kagame to break out from their initial positions. To defend themselves and rescue victims of Genocide. Their vicinity when the campaign against
Genocide began. CAG Museum depicts in detail how the Campaign Against Genocide Plan was
executed by RPF. Following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi
under the mercy of the Genocidaires and how only the RPF/A forces who were in the
war of liberation took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide, Rescue victims of
Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces. This CAG Museum also has its outer part comprised of monuments including that of the 12.7mm Machine Gun that helped in containing the advancing genocidal forces. After this, the 3Days Gorilla Trekking goes on.

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, our representative outside customs and
immigration hall will meet you. He will then introduce you to your driver-guide(s) who will
transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. On arrival at the hotel, you will check-in followed by
late dinner.

You will break off for lunch at Hotel des Mille Collines – After your relaxed lunch,
proceed to Volcanoes national park (2h 30min drive) on arrival you will visit Ibyi iwacu
the cultural village before checking in at your lodge.

Today your day begins with an early – 06:30 am – drive to the Volcanoes National Park
offices for Gorilla Trekking briefing that takes place at 7:00 am. You will then start your
walk at 8:00 am.
Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range
and is the home of the rare mountain gorilla and the rich mosaic of montane
ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp
and heath, but the high point will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful
gorillas despite their size and appearance as they go about their daily life, feeding,
playing, resting, and raising their young.
After the Gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge bathe, enjoy some food and
transfer back to Kigali international airport for your departure flight.
